Babble-Translate LTD (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the Babble App (the “Service”).

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data pertaining to each of our unregistered visitors, registered customers in connection with their access and use of our Service and the choices they have associated with that data.

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, accessible from Babble-translate.com or on the App.

Definitions
  • Service
    Service is the Text, Audio, Picture Information, and document translation from the specified source language into the specified target language and the review or editing of the specified translations provided via the Babble App or website.
  • Personal Data
    Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).
  • Usage Data
    Usage Data is data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of the app or website visit). It may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
  • Cookies
    Cookies are small pieces of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier stored on your device (computer or mobile device).
  • Data Controller
    Data Controller means the natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal information are, or are to be, processed. Personal Data of Registered Customers

The only personally identifiable information of registered customers we collects includes:

  • Email address

Babble does not collect any other information on its users such as personal Names, Addresses or any other information.

Use of Data

Babble only collects the email address of users for the following:

  • Strictly for the purpose of gaining access to the App functions
  • To provide and maintain our Service
  • To notify you about changes to our Service
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so
  • To provide customer support
  • To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service
  • To monitor the usage of our Service
  • To maintain statistics
  • To provide you with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless you have opted not to receive such information.
Face Data Collection and Usage Policy

If you apply to become a translator on our platform, we may collect a photograph of your face as part of our identity verification process. This image is used exclusively for the purpose of confirming your identity and ensuring the authenticity of user profiles on our platform. We do not use this image for facial recognition, tracking, or any unrelated purposes, and it will never be shared with third parties.

Your photograph is securely stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 Bucket, which complies with industry-standard security and encryption protocols. Access to this data is restricted to authorized personnel only and governed by strict internal policies.

We retain your face data only for as long as your account remains active. Once your account is closed or upon your verified request, the image will be permanently deleted, unless retention is required to comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

By submitting your photograph, you provide explicit consent to the collection, secure storage, and use of this data as described above. You may withdraw your consent and request deletion of your image at any time by contacting our support team, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.

Babble-translate LTD may process your Personal Data because:

  • We need to perform a contract with you
  • You have given us permission to do so
  • The processing is in our legitimate interests and it’s not overridden by your rights
  • For payment processing purposes
  • To comply with the law

We will not sell or provide your data to any third party where you have not provided your consent to do so. All other data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018 and other applicable laws.

Retention of Data

Babble-Translate LTD will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Babble-Translate LTD will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those from your jurisdiction.

If Babble-Translate LTD is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

  • If user data is required for analytical and statistical purposes the pseudonymization principle is followed by replacing user-related data by random, anonymous blocks of text.
  • We ensure that the data is always transmitted using strong in-transit encryption standards (SSL/TLS certificates). Moreover, other secure connections are used to transfer data from web-based service containing forms, login screens, upload/download capabilities and so on.
  • We ensure that all the relevant data is subject to regular backups and also regularly check them to ensure that the data can be successfully retrieved.

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Your Data Protection Rights Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. Babble-Translate LTD aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data.

In certain circumstances, you have the following data protection rights:

Analytic

We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

Google AdSense & DoubleClick Cookie

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our Service. Google’s use of the DoubleClick cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our Service or other websites on the Internet.

Translators, editors

Translators, editors provide Services of translation or editing of translations in accordance with Terms & Conditions for Service Providers due to which they do not process your personal data if contained in the documents submitted for translation, editing. Other than that, translators, editors do not have any access to your personal data. They are obliged to treat all your information in confidence and shall not reproduce, otherwise use or distribute it.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.
